Challenge 1.0


On April 24, 2015, in an unprecedented move, and one that has since become a framework for public-private partnerships, Intel & Department of Science and Technology(“DST”), the `Intel & DST - Innovate for Digital India Challenge’, supported by MyGov and Department of Electronics and Information Technology (“DeitY”) and anchored by CIIE, IIM-A.

The Challenge was launched to drive local ingenuity and encourage the creation of intuitive, easy to use products and solutions that enable and drive access to services imperative for development. 1,913 ideas were received across healthcare, agriculture, education and other sectors.

The Challenge received support from our Honourable Prime Minister, Mr.Narendra Modi and mentorship from eminent industry experts. The top 10 teams were felicitated by Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister Communications & IT and Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Hon. President of India.

The Challenge ended on April 2016 with the announcement of top three teams were granted INR 2 million as equity investment. Read more
